We are actively recruiting experienced Forklift Operators to join our busy warehouse in Omaha, Nebraska. This position is critical for the efficient movement of materials within our logistics operations. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely transporting, stacking, and retrieving materials using a forklift. You will also assist with general warehouse duties, ensuring a smooth workflow and adherence to all safety regulations. A strong commitment to safe operating practices and a keen understanding of warehouse logistics are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper securing of goods.
- Transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment to and from designated areas.
- Stack and store materials in appropriate locations, maintaining order and accessibility.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes as needed.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper scanning and data entry.
- Adhere strictly to all safety policies and procedures, including wearing required PPE.
- Follow all company guidelines related to warehouse operations and logistics.
- Participate in general warehouse tasks such as order picking and packing when not operating a forklift.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of logistics and inventory management principles.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and wearing all required PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
