Our expanding logistics center in Phoenix, Arizona, is seeking a proactive and experienced Warehouse Coordinator. This vital role involves overseeing daily warehouse operations, managing staff, optimizing workflow, and ensuring the efficient flow of goods. You will be responsible for coordinating receiving, warehousing, and distribution activities, maintaining inventory accuracy, and enforcing safety standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of warehouse management systems, and a commitment to operational excellence. Your contribution is critical to the success of our logistics operations. We maintain a strong focus on safety, requiring strict adherence to all protocols, including the proper use of PPE. This position offers a significant opportunity to shape and improve our warehouse processes.
Responsibilities:
- Supervising and coordinating daily warehouse activities, including receiving, stocking, picking, and shipping.
- Managing and training warehouse staff, ensuring performance standards are met.
- Optimizing warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency.
- Maintaining accurate inventory records and conducting regular audits.
- Implementing and enforcing all safety regulations and procedures, including mandatory PPE use.
- Monitoring and managing warehouse equipment and supplies.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Resolving operational issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting on warehouse productivity.
- Ensuring compliance with all company policies and industry regulations.
- Overseeing tasks involving lifting and material handling to ensure safety.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or coordination role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and logistics software.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with inventory control and optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to enforce safety protocols and ensure proper PPE usage.
- Ability to manage a team and foster a positive work environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Physical ability to perform warehouse duties, including occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certification is a plus.
