Join our dynamic logistics team in Orlando, Florida, as a Material Handler! We are seeking energetic individuals to support the efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. This role involves receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products. You will operate equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks, ensuring that materials are handled safely and effectively. Accuracy and a strong work ethic are key to success in this position. As a Material Handler, you are crucial to our operations, ensuring that products reach their next destination promptly and securely. Responsibilities:
- Receiving and inspecting incoming materials and verifying against purchase orders.
- Storing materials in designated warehouse locations using appropriate equipment.
- Picking and staging materials for production, order fulfillment, or shipping.
- Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Loading and unloading trucks, ensuring securement of cargo.
- Maintaining inventory accuracy through diligent tracking and reporting.
- Keeping the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Adhering to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing mandatory PPE.
- Performing routine checks on equipment to ensure operational readiness.
- Assisting with other warehouse and logistics tasks as assigned.
- Handling tasks that require lifting of goods up to 40 lbs regularly.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handler role is a plus.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift certification preferred).
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring frequent lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Familiarity with safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to consistently wear required PPE.
