We are looking for a meticulous Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Columbus, Ohio. In this critical role, you will be responsible for coordinating and documenting all outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our shipping processes. Your duties will include preparing shipping labels, verifying order details, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining accurate shipping records. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading and shipping labels.
- Verify the accuracy of orders before shipment, ensuring all items are accounted for.
- Coordinate with transportation carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Maintain accurate and organized shipping records, both physical and digital.
- Communicate with internal departments and external partners regarding shipping status.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and ensure a secure shipping area.
- Follow company Logistics procedures and maintain the required PPE .
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a shipping or administrative role within a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and common office applications.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and occasional moderate Lifting (up to 25 pounds).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Understanding of shipping procedures and Safety guidelines.
- Must wear appropriate PPE when required.
