Clearance: High - DV Developed Vetting
We are seeking an Information Assurance Engineer to support customer programmes including PITSM MPS HOB and other across Defence & Intelligence in the UK. You must be based in the UK with DV Clearance (additional clearances may be required).
Overview The role will deliver robust well‑managed assurance solutions for sensitive programmes. Initial deployment on PITSM will involve extensive third‑party and customer liaison requiring strong communication and relationship building skills. You will also develop further information assurance opportunities as projects expand, contributing to NIST compliant risk assessment methodology and tooling.
Responsibilities
Deliver robust assurance solutions for sensitive programmes.
Engage extensively with third‑party and customer stakeholders on PITSM and other projects.
Develop and maintain NIST‑based ISMS controls and processes.
Support cyber lead on project outcomes and junior team career planning.
Candidate Essentials
British nationality, non‑dual national status required.
DV cleared or willing to undergo DV Clearance.
Experience delivering accredited security solutions in sensitive government scenarios.
Essential Skills & Experience
Risk & Assurance
– Strong grasp of CIAS, structured risk analysis and continuous assurance through NIST‑based ISMS.
Evaluating responses to security requirements
– Maintain security documentation sets (SyOps RMADs, Security Management Plans).
Lifecycle & Methodologies
– Understand lifecycle processes (requirement, configuration, testing, assurance) and cyber assurance integration; experienced in waterfall, incremental, SAFE, DevOps.
Incident Response & Awareness
– Design and deliver Cyber Incident Response capabilities, security awareness programs, threat modelling, tabletop exercises.
Desirable Skills & Experience
Domain & Delivery Experience – Delivery and proposal environments, MOD AS environments.
Technology Skills – Network and boundary protection (firewalls, gateways, load balancers, IPS/IDS), SIEM/SOC, authentication (SAML, LDAP, PKI), encryption protocols.
Communication & Soft Skills – Excellent verbal and written communication, report presentation, commercial awareness, disciplined project management.
