Role purpose and responsibilities
As a Retail Sales Assistant at The Works, you’ll be the heartbeat of our store by greeting customers and helping them find products that inspire reading, learning, creativity and play. You’ll contribute to a welcoming, energetic environment and support customers to leave with inspiration and satisfaction. Some colleagues may be BookTok influencers or Instagram creatives using our in-store products. Key responsibilities include opening, closing and running the store when needed (subject to training and scheduling). You’ll work with the Store Management team to ensure smooth operations, and you’ll receive keyholding pay enhancement when holding keys. Senior/lead responsibilities depend on eligibility and store needs (e.g., keyholding). If under 18, you won’t perform keyholding duties until 18, at which point training will be provided for keyholder duties. Skills and behaviours that set you apart
