Foods Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Prepared Foods Team Member to join our team.

• Purchase and replenish prepared foods products through proper buying procedures, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products to meet customer demand.
• Monitor and act upon open purchase order reports for both purchases and credits in an accurate and timely manner, minimizing inventory discrepancies and ensuring profitability.
• Control spoilage and shrink by implementing effective inventory management strategies, achieving turn goals, and participating in regular inventory counts.

• Extensive knowledge of prepared foods products, including production, distribution, seasonal availability, advances, and trends.
• Ability to create and negotiate price bids, driving cost savings and improving profitability.
• Familiarity with product nutritional information and other areas of study, enabling effective communication with customers and colleagues.
• Working knowledge and application of all Prepared Foods merchandising expectations, ensuring consistent visual presentation and maximizing sales potential.
• Complete understanding of WFM margin program and profitability, enabling informed decision-making and strategic planning.
