Food Service Specialist

• We are seeking a skilled Food Service Specialist to join our team. As a Food Service Specialist, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold foods including meats, cheeses, sandwiches, burritos, wraps, salad, and pizza.
• You will also be required to sample products to customers, stock hot and cold cases and displays with prepared foods from the kitchen walk-in preparation and refrigerators, and check in-stock product dates to ensure freshness and rotate when necessary.
• In addition, you will be responsible for bailing and consolidating recyclables, assisting Team Leaders in organizing and displaying volume and seasonal items, completing spoilage sampling temperature and sweep worksheets as required, and assisting with periodic inventory checks.
• You will also be expected to arrive at work on time, appropriately groomed, dressed, and ready to work, work all scheduled shifts, attend required trainings and meetings, and provide excellent customer service by addressing the needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and modeling suggestive selling techniques.
• As a Food Service Specialist, you will also be responsible for maximizing sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product, following and complying with established procedures including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Furthermore, you will be expected to maintain or ensure maintenance of a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment, maintain equipment in accordance with WFM cleanliness and safety standards, perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned, ensure accuracy of signs and pricing, and immediately report safety hazards and violations.
