An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Business Analyst to join our Business Analysis Team for an 18 month contract to support the organisation in the delivery of its IT programmes.
The Role The role involves liaising with staff in departments, running workshops and meetings and documenting requirements.
It is essential that you have extensive experience of conducting business analysis on complex IT and / or business change projects in large organisations, articulating business ideas, suggestions and problems in technology terms.
Key Experience
Interpreting and analysing complex and disparate information
Establishing, developing and maintaining effective working relationships with project stakeholders
Successfully balancing conflicting demands
What you’ll do
Identify interdependencies
Understand constraints
Scope and size solutions (working with Design Architects)
Manage, and control changes to, requirements throughout the project lifecycle
Define and assure artefacts, such as problem statements, epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria and non‑functional requirements, to communicate business and user needs
Develop high level project estimates (in conjunction with the Project and Solutions teams)
What we’re looking for
Experience in public sector and significant experience within an IT environment
Experience in business requirements gathering, translating business requirements into technology requirements, business cases / options appraisals
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills at all levels, including oral, written and presentation skills, influencing through information and advice
Ability to establish effective working relationships at all levels
Excellent analytical skills
Happy to work independently or as part of a larger project or programme team
