We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator for our St. Louis, Missouri location. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and staging products within our warehouse. This role is vital for the efficient operation of our logistics and distribution center. You must be experienced, certified, and committed to upholding the highest standards of safety . Your primary focus will be on the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment. Adherence to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE and safe operating practices for Lifting heavy loads, is critical. You will play a key part in managing inventory flow and supporting warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials around the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently.
- Stack and store materials in designated areas, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Identify and report any damaged products or equipment.
- Perform routine inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including wearing required PPE at all times.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse tasks as needed.
- Understand and implement safe Lifting procedures for various materials.
- Support the smooth operation of our logistics network.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling procedures.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Must adhere to all company policies regarding PPE .
- Experience with scanning equipment is a plus.
- Familiarity with logistics processes is beneficial.
