We are seeking a diligent Warehouse Coordinator to manage and oversee operations at our facility in Huntsville, Alabama. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth functioning of our warehouse, focusing on inventory accuracy, efficient material handling, and adherence to all safety standards. The Warehouse Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining organized stock, coordinating shipments, and managing documentation related to our logistics processes. You will work closely with the warehouse team to streamline operations, minimize errors, and ensure timely order fulfillment. A keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this position. Understanding and enforcing the correct use of PPE and safe practices for Lifting will be a key part of your responsibilities. You will contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the flow of goods in and out of the warehouse.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts.
- Schedule and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Manage and distribute necessary paperwork and documentation for shipments.
- Oversee the proper storage and organization of inventory.
- Assist in the training of warehouse staff on operational procedures.
- Monitor and report on warehouse performance metrics.
- Ensure appropriate PPE is available and used by all personnel.
- Implement and enforce best practices for material handling and Lifting .
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
- Previous experience in warehouse coordination or a similar role.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Knowledge of logistics and inventory control procedures.
- Understanding of warehouse safety protocols.
- Ability to operate basic warehouse equipment.
- Commitment to ensuring the correct use of PPE .
- Ability to assist with manual tasks including moderate Lifting .
