We are looking for a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This role is essential for ensuring that all incoming goods are accurately received, inspected, and documented, forming a vital part of our logistics and inventory management system. You will be responsible for verifying shipments, identifying discrepancies, and maintaining accurate receiving records.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Inspect goods for damages and verify quantities against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Document all receiving activities, noting any discrepancies or damages accurately.
- Label incoming inventory with appropriate codes and information for tracking.
- Enter receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS) promptly and accurately.
- Sort and stage received items for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Follow all company safety policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse duties as needed.
Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or a similar warehouse role is preferred. Must possess excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds is necessary. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes is beneficial. Strong data entry skills and experience with WMS or similar inventory software are advantageous. Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. A commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE is mandatory. Good communication skills to interact with suppliers, drivers, and internal staff are important. This role requires the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
