Our expanding facility in Tampa, Florida, is seeking a diligent and experienced Material Handler to join our team. This role is vital to ensuring the efficient movement and organization of materials throughout our warehouse. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for operating equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, receiving and inspecting incoming goods, stocking inventory accurately, and preparing materials for shipment. A comprehensive understanding of warehouse Logistics and inventory management is essential. Your commitment to workplace Safety is paramount, and adherence to all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE , is expected. This position requires physical stamina, including the ability to handle significant Lifting of items up to 60 lbs, and the capability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and proficiently.
- Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and inventory control.
- Pick and stage materials for production orders or outbound shipments.
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and wear appropriate PPE .
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Support broader Logistics functions as needed, including loading and unloading trucks, which involves frequent Lifting .
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating forklifts and as a Material Handler.
- Valid forklift certification.
- Ability to perform consistent Lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and Logistics processes.
- Strong understanding of and commitment to workplace Safety and PPE usage.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding environment.
