We are seeking energetic and reliable Picker/Packers to join our growing logistics team in Huntsville, Alabama. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items for customer orders and carefully preparing them for shipment. Your attention to detail and efficiency will directly impact customer satisfaction and the smooth operation of our warehouse. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order tickets and scanning devices.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure correctness.
- Pack items securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate packaging materials.
- Apply shipping labels and necessary documentation to packages.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to 5S principles.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Follow all company safety regulations and protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory control, including cycle counts and stock checks.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals in logistics.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns to management immediately.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a picking or packing role within a warehouse is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics concepts.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet performance metrics.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and consistently wearing all required PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
