Join our expanding logistics team in Austin, Texas, as a Forklift Operator! We are looking for skilled and safety-conscious individuals to operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks within our dynamic warehouse environment. Your primary responsibility will be the safe and efficient movement of materials, loading and unloading trucks, and stocking inventory. The ideal candidate will have proven forklift operating experience, a strong commitment to Safety, and the ability to work productively in a fast-paced setting. This role is essential for maintaining the flow of goods through our logistics network. We offer a competitive salary and a supportive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to move materials.
- Load and unload goods from trucks, trailers, and other vehicles.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Assist with stocking and retrieving inventory from various warehouse locations.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety rules and regulations.
- Use appropriate PPE, including safety vests, hard hats, and steel-toed boots.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles and walkways are clear.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff and supervisors to ensure efficient operations.
- Support general warehouse duties as needed, including manual Lifting.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable forklift operating experience.
- Valid forklift certification or license.
- Proven ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform Lifting of up to 50 lbs when necessary.
- Strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and operate equipment for extended periods.
- Excellent work ethic and reliability.
- Willingness to wear required PPE at all times.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles and warehouse flow.
