We are hiring a skilled Material Handler for our facility in Raleigh, North Carolina. As a Material Handler, you will be essential in managing the flow of materials within our warehouse. Your duties will include receiving, storing, and distributing raw materials and finished goods, operating material handling equipment, and ensuring materials are available for production or shipment. This role demands physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety. You will work with a team to optimize warehouse operations and contribute to the overall success of our logistics network. We expect all employees to strictly follow safety procedures and wear required PPE. This is a hands-on role critical to our operational efficiency and supply chain effectiveness. The ability to handle tasks involving substantial lifting is key.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other transport vehicles.
- Move materials within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Inspect materials for damage and report any discrepancies.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper storage and record-keeping.
- Support production and shipping departments by delivering necessary materials.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Perform tasks requiring regular lifting of materials up to 60 pounds.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Certification and experience operating forklifts or other powered industrial trucks are highly desirable.
- Physical ability to perform frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Familiarity with logistics and inventory management principles.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
