We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our bustling warehouse in Columbus, Ohio. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials throughout our distribution center. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining smooth operations and ensuring timely order fulfillment within our complex logistics network. You will be involved in daily tasks that support inventory management, shipping, and receiving processes. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various types of forklifts to move, stack, and organize inventory.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments accurately and efficiently.
- Perform pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory control, including cycle counts and put-away processes.
- Maintain a clean and orderly warehouse environment, following all Safety regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, including the mandatory use of PPE .
- Support the overall Logistics operations of the facility.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable forklift operating experience.
- Certification as a forklift operator is a plus.
- Ability to handle heavy loads, with regular Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse procedures and material handling.
- Dedication to workplace Safety and operational efficiency.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts if required.
- Familiarity with required PPE .
