Senior Business & Data Analyst – Infrastructure Backup & Recovery Salary
£59,850 - £66,500 per annum.
Locations
Leeds or Manchester.
Hours
Full‑time.
Working Pattern
Hybrid – at least two days per week at an office.
Job Overview The Backup & Recovery Lab delivers a new strategic backup capability to enhance safeguarding and maturity of operational resilience. As a Senior Business & Data Analyst you shape the transition from legacy backup tools to a new toolset, collaborating with Product Owners, Private Cloud team and cross‑functional colleagues to orchestrate user journeys and optimise processes.
Responsibilities
Design, map and analyse end‑to‑end customer journeys (internal and external) using data, processes and systems.
Lead customer‑journey and process mapping with Visio or similar tools and integrate insights into migration and cutover plans.
Evaluate journey effectiveness from customer and business perspectives and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
Coordinate cross‑functional alignment with integrators, suppliers and stakeholders to manage complex dependencies.
Demonstrate complex data analytical capability, using Excel or SQL to implement controls and support data‑centric decisions.
Communicate plans and progress clearly, translating complex requirements into actionable product deliverables and influencing without authority.
Qualifications
Experience with technical migration, replacing legacy platforms and backup solution cutovers.
Prior implementation of operating‑model migration and data clean‑up.
Proficiency in customer‑journey design, process mapping, and business and data analysis techniques.
Agile delivery tools (Jira, Confluence) and strong communication, stakeholder management and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively, driving outcomes in a robust control environment.
Exposure to operational resilience, backup or related data safeguarding topics.
Desirable: Familiarity with payments, digital assets or emerging technologies; experience in a highly regulated environment.
