The International Team in Coinbase is tasked with expanding the presence and reach of Coinbase products to countries across the globe. The team has supported various initiatives across countries like Australia, India, Singapore and Brazil and there’s more to come. As a close partner to Product and Engineering, Coinbase Design team plays a critical role in executing on the company vision. We take on hard user experience problems to deliver delightful and easy-to-use products from very complex technical challenges. You'll help design our flagship products for the largest user base in crypto and define user experiences for entirely new features that the ecosystem has not seen before. You’ll design the following as a part of your role: Product Improvements -
One of the key levers we have at our disposal to grow our user base in key markets is to improve our product to make it the easiest to use in each market. Key areas of product improvement include: Payments -
working with payments and your country pod to ensure we have relevant, preferred and usable payment rails in place. Localization -
regularly checking our products for correct translations and areas that could benefit from better localization. Recommending areas that could be better improved to fit with cultural context. Our product should feel local in each of our markets. New products -
Ideating, experimenting and building out new products that meet users needs in that country. Activation -
Enable new customers to use more Coinbase products and overcome any friction seamlessly. Marketing -
Working on Incentive Campaigns, such as referrals, new user incentives and campaign incentives to encourage users to engage and transact with Coinbase. You will also be helping to create CRM campaigns to effectively reach our existing customer base. We expect that you will be proficient at illustration or for you to work closely with our in house illustrators to get campaigns over the line. Market research / Analysis -
Helping the research team and country pod to conduct a holistic analysis of competitive dynamics in the market. Helping to run regular user testing and research sessions, documenting results and outlining opportunities presented. Having a deep understanding of Coinbase metrics within the region. Legal / Regulatory -
Assisting the team in building out a compliant yet delightful experience. Regulation can change quickly and the appropriate candidate needs to be capable of producing well crafted solutions in a short space of time. What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties): Partner strategically with Product, Engineering, and UX Research to drive team strategy, product decisions, and roadmap priorities Take new features from ideation, to prototyping, to user testing, to production Participate in regular design reviews where you’ll seek out specific feedback on your designs and incorporate relevant feedback Provide mentorship and design feedback to other design team members Partner closely with our Design Systems team, to create scalable design frameworks and solutions Collaboration across Coinbase teams to launch supporting features - onboarding, multi-user, payment rails, tax, settings etc. What we look for in you (ie. job requirements): 10+ years of Product Design experience Exemplary product thinking abilities, solutions oriented, and capable of working autonomously Proven track record of working within a product team to ship successful products to users Sharp attention to detail and mastery over your craft: visual design, interaction design, and prototyping Strong cross-functional communication and stakeholder management experience Thrives in fast-paced (sometimes ambiguous) environment Fluency in Figma and prototyping tools Low ego, loves to collaborate, and open minded Interest in crypto and/or financial products Nice to haves: Experience in consumer fintech Experience in designing for multiple international markets 0 to 1 experience with new product launches - at startup or internal venture bet Please be advised that each candidate may submit a maximum of four applications within any 30-day period.
