Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Sales & Events Manager based in Macclesfield, with the option to work from home on occasion. The role involves responding to sales enquiries, communicating with our couples to aid in their planning, as well as coordinating, and executing flawless wedding events. This role requires strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
Manage Hilltop’s shared inbox for all incoming enquiries by responding in a polite and timely manner.
Conduct initial show rounds with potential clients to understand their expectations, vision, preferences, and budget for their wedding.
Maintain clear and open communication with clients throughout the planning process, providing updates, recommendations, and addressing any concerns.
Identify suitable dates based on client preferences, budget, and personal considerations.
Help negotiate food and drink packages with a view to meeting customer and business expectations.
Support the wider team to develop and manage budgets for wedding events, tracking expenses and ensuring financial targets are met.
Support the General Manager with sales data inputs that allows and improves Hilltop record keeping and data management.
Create detailed event timelines and production schedules, coordinating all aspects of the wedding event to ensure smooth execution, including event day management.
Oversee logistical elements such as setup and breakdown.
Ensure other key members of the Hilltop team have advance notice of all up and coming events to allow for improved savings and better budgeting.
Ensure all aspects of the wedding events comply with English law and regulations (working with couples to book & secure the Registrars).
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices.
Lead the Hilltop team at and during weddings to ensure a smooth operation on the day.
Address any guest enquiries or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
Anticipate and proactively address potential issues or emergencies that may arise at Hilltop especially during the event.
Implement effective solutions to resolve any challenges.
Qualifications
Strong Sales and Customer Relationship Management skills to drive bookings and maintain client satisfaction
Event Planning and Management expertise to manage schedules, vendors, and logistical aspects of events
Communication and Interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients, vendors, and team members
Budget Management and Negotiation skills to ensure financial efficiency while delivering high-quality events
Attention to Detail and Multitasking capabilities to handle various components of events simultaneously
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Previous experience in event planning, sales, or hospitality is highly desirable
Flexibility to work on-site in Macclesfield with the ability to work remotely when necessary
