Ampa - Legal & Professional Services Senior Power BI Developer & Data Engineer 12-month Fixed Term Contract Ampa’s Data & Analytics team is seeking a Senior Power BI Developer & Data Engineer to deliver enterprise-grade analytics and data solutions across debt finance (DebtTrak/Aderant) and Peppermint CMS reporting. What you will be doing: Lead the design, build, and optimise Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models for finance, debt, and operation teams Engineer data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Dataflows Gen2, Pipelines) and Azure integration Model data from DebtTrak, Aderant, and Dynamics-based CMS into governed, blended and scalable datasets Implement incremental refresh, composite models, calculation groups, and performance tuning Configure and manage Power BI workspaces, deployment pipelines, and access controls Automate reporting workflows and enable self-service analytics for business users Deliver validated financial models and role-based reports for debt, finance and legal services Integrate and reconcile data across multiple systems, ensuring accuracy and auditability Lead the transition from legacy reporting (SSRS) to Power BI, embedding best practices Champion the co-development of Fabric utilities, templates, and standards with the Fabric Administrator Drive adoption of data product conventions, Git integration, and monitoring/logging for scale Partner with Data Engineering, Finance, Legal Operations, and business stakeholders to mature the platform Document solutions, create user guides, and contribute to a knowledge base for repeatability Governance & Compliance Embed GDPR, data protection, and least privilege access in solutions Certify datasets, apply sensitivity labels, and maintain audit-ready documentation Implement data quality checks, maintain data lineage documentation, and support audit readiness Ensure robust security and compliance across all reporting assets What you will need: Skills and experience Must have: Proven delivery of enterprise Power BI solutions (DAX, Power Query M, SQL) Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Dataflows Gen2, Pipelines) Azure fundamentals (ADLS, managed identities, DevOps/Git) Dimensional modelling, data product thinking, performance optimisation Experience building financial/debt-related models and reports Nice to have: Domain experience with Aderant and Dynamics/Peppermint Legal services data and finance process knowledge Automation of testing and documentation Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst or Fabric Analytics Engineer Strong analytical problem-solving skills Ability to work with stakeholders across business and technical teams Excellent communication and presentation skills Collaborative and team-oriented approach Ability to drive process improvements proactively Adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving technological environment Ampa Group is a committed equal opportunities employer.
