Opportunity : Structural Design Engineer Location : Hybrid (Manchester / Remote) Rate : Negotiable and Competitive Duration : 6 months + IR35 : Inside We require the services of a Structural Design Engineer with a Rail Structures background for various schemes, based in Manchester. Responsibilities and types of projects: Bridge maintenance and strengthening of rail structures Design of retaining structures and platform extensions Lineside structures Embankment and cutting stabilisation Culvert lining and replacement Scour protection Tunnel maintenance and strengthening All works designed and delivered in accordance with all relevant technical standards. Minimum Requirements: The Structural Design Engineer should hold an engineering degree or equivalent industry recognised qualification. Minimum 3 years relevant post Graduate experience of producing Engineering designs. Must be able to work independently and be able to produce pragmatic designs to programme. Hold full UK driving licence and have use of their own vehicle. The role will be based in Manchester with a hybrid working arrangement (Three days office / two days remote per week).
