The Technical Sales Support Manager – Critical Power will play a pivotal role in supporting our sales function by providing expert technical knowledge, preparing detailed proposals and CAD drawings, and acting as a key liaison between customers, sales teams, and internal engineering departments. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, customer engagement experience, and industry knowledge within critical power systems.
Key Responsibilities Technical Sales Support
Deliver high-quality technical support to the sales team throughout the sales cycle.
Analyse customer requirements and provide tailored critical power solutions.
Prepare comprehensive technical proposals, datasheets, and product specifications.
Respond to technical queries from customers and internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
CAD & Technical Documentation
Create, review, and update CAD drawings, schematics, and system layouts for critical power applications.
Work collaboratively with engineering and design teams to ensure accurate technical documentation.
Ensure all deliverables meet industry standards and customer expectations.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
Build trusting relationships with clients, understanding their business and technical needs.
Attend customer meetings, presentations, and site surveys as required.
Support the sales team in technical negotiations and solution demonstrations.
Project Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with internal engineering, operations, and project management teams to align on customer requirements and delivery timelines.
Track and report on sales support activities, opportunities, and technical issues.
Provide insights and recommendations to improve product offerings and sales processes.

About You
Electrical qualification (e.g., HND/HNC, BEng, NVQ Level 3/4 in Electrical Engineering, equivalent).
Proven experience with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks).
Strong understanding of electrical power systems, distribution, UPS, generators, and related critical power infrastructure.
Previous experience in technical sales support, sales engineering, or a related technical customer‑facing role.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to interpret and produce detailed technical drawings and specifications.
Excellent problem‑solving with a proactive approach to troubleshooting customer challenges.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Customer‑focused with a commercial mindset.
Team player with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
