Sales Administrator Based near Thetford – Own vehicle required due to location
Salary: £28,500
Role focus: Sales support and day-to-day office administration
Role overview As part of the sales team, the Sales Administrator acts as a key point of contact for customers and plays an important role in keeping sales operations running smoothly. The position involves regular communication with customers, setting up and maintaining accounts, processing orders and payments, and ensuring customer information is accurate and up to date. You’ll work closely with Credit Control to help manage customer risk and ensure orders are processed correctly, while also supporting the wider sales and logistics functions as required.
Key responsibilities Sales administration
Preparing and processing sales documentation, including customer orders and payments, using the sales and accounting systems
Downloading, checking, and processing website orders to ensure they are ready for dispatch and correctly reflected in stock records
Managing bulk orders linked to online sales to maintain stock accuracy
Creating, updating, and maintaining customer account records
Learning and following export order processes for customers outside the UK, including freight terms and documentation (full training provided)
Regularly reviewing website stock levels and updating where necessary
Customer service and credit support
Handling customer communication by phone and email in a professional and helpful manner
Resolving customer queries and complaints efficiently, escalating or feeding back to the Sales Office Manager where appropriate
Supporting Credit Control by monitoring customer credit limits, preventing orders from being released where limits are exceeded, and assisting with chasing overdue invoices when required

Confident IT user, particularly with in-house ordering systems
Experience dealing with challenging customers
