Our Bedroom Furnishings division, BD Living provides furnishing solutions that fit perfectly in our customers’ homes. You will report to the Technical Team Leader and ensure all technical information is available to the production and fitting departments, liaise and advise other departments on technical matters, and coordinate technical information on projects from inception to completion.
Responsibilities
Produce material cutting lists for Group house-types requiring fitted wardrobes
Assist with new product/design layouts of our marketing suite furniture and bedroom furniture as required
Provide technical support to BD Living sales and installations teams to ensure bedroom furniture installations meet Barratt Group requirements
Produce technical cutting lists and associated paperwork in line with required timescales, identifying standard and bespoke products and processes for furniture installation
Deliver a professional and efficient service for installation of products to the department's internal teams and to Barratt Group teams as required
Share technical skills and processes with internal teams and take ownership of specific technical tasks/requirements within the technical team
Qualifications
Excellent organisation and communication skills
Ability to work independently or within a team
Experience interpreting/referencing architectural/technical drawings of house-type layouts and scaling off drawings is beneficial
Experience in furniture design/manufacture, processing production orders, and creating Bills of Materials for wardrobe manufacture is beneficial
Experience creating furniture layouts is beneficial
Experience using CAD or similar drawing packages is beneficial
