Assist in estimating cost and schedule impacts for owner‑directed change orders and contractor‑requested changes.
Review designs for constructability, buildability and efficiency, providing practical input to optimise solutions.
Identify and promote value engineering opportunities to achieve cost savings and programme efficiencies.
Engage with construction teams to ensure designs are practical and minimise risks during construction.
Ensure compliance with UK Water Industry standards, regulations (e.g., CESWI, WIMES), British Standards, Eurocodes and client‑specific requirements.
Oversee management and control of design documentation, drawings and specifications.
Maintain adherence to company design management procedures and quality assurance processes.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, design consultants, subcontractors and regulatory bodies.
Communicate design progress, challenges and solutions to all stakeholders effectively.
Identify design‑related risks and opportunities, contributing to the project risk register and implementing mitigation strategies.
