Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Salt Lake City, Utah. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately processing outbound shipments, ensuring all orders are packed correctly and dispatched on time. This role is critical to our supply chain operations, ensuring our customers receive their products efficiently. You will work closely with the warehouse team and carriers to manage the flow of goods. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and a strong understanding of shipping procedures.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare shipping labels and documentation for various carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS, LTL).
  • Inspect outgoing packages for accuracy and damage before dispatch.
  • Verify shipping information against order details to prevent errors.
  • Communicate with carriers to schedule pickups and resolve any shipping discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized shipping areas and ensure adequate supplies are available.
  • Adhere to all company safety protocols and warehouse procedures.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track shipments and update inventory.
  • Assist with receiving functions as needed.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in a shipping or logistics role is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with shipping software and carriers is a plus.
  • Must be able to perform tasks requiring moderate physical exertion, including Lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment, following all Safety guidelines.
