Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Test Engineer to join the Test team at FSP. The role requires a strong understanding of test techniques to validate expected outcomes and ensure quality through established processes and procedures. You’ll apply advanced testing methodologies—covering functional, regression, and automation testing—to ensure reliable, high-performing outcomes. The position also involves leading test activities and driving them to successful completion within project timelines.
Responsibilities
Ensure software products are correctly designed and continuously tested throughout the development lifecycle, championing quality-driven delivery and enforcing processes.
Develop comprehensive test strategies and plans, including writing test cases, structured methodologies, and use cases across multiple test phases.
Apply advanced testing methodologies—covering functional, regression, and automation testing—and consider automation frameworks where appropriate.
Collaborate with multi-vendor partners, suppliers, and stakeholders to define testing approaches, validate levels of testing, and meet project deadlines.
Contribute to user story refinement, ensuring viable, testable products with clear acceptance criteria, and address gaps in data capture for critical information.
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement by adopting innovative testing technologies and techniques.
About You
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Senior Tester or equivalent, including acting as Test Lead on projects
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Strong understanding of QA and testing across multiple concurrent projects, expert knowledge of full system life cycles, and experience authoring Test Strategies and Test Plans.
ISTQB®/ISEB foundation in software testing preferred, with demonstrable experience working with third-party suppliers.
Proven experience in Agile and DevOps environments, with a quick learning ability to adapt to evolving project needs.
Skilled in applying structured methodologies and tools to ensure quality assurance practices are met across all phases.
Knowledge and experience of the following would be advantageous
Practical experience with test automation tools (Cypress or Playwright preferred)
Experience with AI tools or testing applications utilising AI.
