Branch Sales Manager - Glasgow (No Weekends!) We have an exciting opportunity for a Branch Sales Manager within our Glasgow branch. Joining our friendly and hard‑working family as a Branch Sales Manager will give you the opportunity to showcase your commercial capability, develop customer relationships, and play a key leadership role within the branch team.
You will support the Branch Manager by driving strategic goals, leading the sales function, and managing a team responsible for delivering customer spend, profitability and year‑on‑year growth. The role includes responsibility for a predetermined ledger of accounts, delivering excellent customer service and capturing new business opportunities across the region. You will be a key point of contact for customers, ensuring the team handles enquiries from initial contact through to invoicing, while using Keyline’s tools to manage quotations and maintain high standards. This role comes with extensive training, opportunities for progression, and the chance to develop strong commercial skills within the UK’s leading civils specialist.

What are we looking for?
A passion for sales, customer focus, initiative and enthusiasm
Proven ability to build and manage customer relationships across multiple stakeholders
A strong track record in chasing sales opportunities and delivering first‑class service
Excellent communication, negotiation and organisational skills
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to interpret financial and statistical information
Ability to manage your time effectively, prioritise workload and support the development of others
Desire to progress, improve skills and demonstrate leadership capability
Ability to work independently and as part of a high‑performing team
Confident using IT systems, digital tools and evolving technologies
Previous experience in sales, construction, civils or a related industry is highly desirable

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Drive sales and continually review products, markets and customer data to identify opportunities for profitable growth
Manage your allocated ledger of customers, creating strategic customer plans alongside account managers to maximise spend and margin
Ensure the team manages enquiries professionally from initial contact to invoice, identifying material requirements, offering alternatives and upselling where appropriate
Proactively utilise Keylines CRM system (Sales Hub) and maintain compliance with KPI requirements
Liaise regularly with key suppliers to understand market conditions and negotiate commercial opportunities
Oversee CSA creation and price management across branch ledgers, using MI reports to monitor profitability and margin performance
Optimise customer relationships and supplier deals to leverage business and protect branch margin
Conduct regular MI reviews to analyse customer performance, identify gaps in purchases, and align findings with customer growth plans
Drive high performance among the sales team by developing skills, improving commercial awareness and strengthening customer relationships
Develop the internal sales team, setting targets, monitoring performance and supporting career progression through regular 1‑to‑1s
Maintain a strong understanding of market pricing, product availability and commercial factors impacting sales
