Oliver Bernard are currently seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join a well‑established team for a FinTech client of ours based in Newcastle. This hire is part of a period of transformation across the business focused on expanding their nationwide product and instilling a strong DevOps culture whilst driving transformation and innovation across their broader Software Engineering team. Having grown extensively in the last 5‑10 years, they require a Senior Level Engineer to support their Developer Experience team in their efforts to scale through a series of projects focused around Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform and more. The ideal candidate will have at least 6‑7 years’ experience as a DevOps or Platform Engineer, ideally operating in a Senior capacity in their current role, and have the following: Experience with Azure Cloud (AWS and GCP will also be considered) Strong Containerisation / Orchestration work with Kubernetes Strong hands‑on experience with Terraform for IaC Wealth of work across CI/CD, monitoring, and automation Software Development background, capable coding day to day (ideally with C#, but other OO languages will be considered) Any applications must also have a First Class Degree from a Russell Group University (and AAA average at A-Level) This is an on‑site opening, based in Newcastle 5 days p/week, and can offer £80‑130K dependant on experience.
