Cleo is a profitable, fast-growing fintech company focused on changing humanity's relationship with money. We aim to provide a hyper-intelligent financial advisor in people’s pockets. Cleo is a unicorn with over $200 million in ARR, growing over 2x year-over-year. We seek top talent who are collaborative, capable, and driven to make a real impact. About The Role
We’re hiring a Data Analytics Lead - Strategic Finance (FP&A). This is a high-impact role at the intersection of finance, data, and strategy. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Finance, you’ll build insight delivery systems, models, and automations that power decision-making across FP&A and long-term financial strategy. You’ll collaborate with Product, Data, Engineering, and the CEO’s office to turn data into actionable insights that accelerate decision-making. This is the first role fully dedicated to owning and scaling the automation and intelligence layer within Strategic Finance. You’ll architect and scale models, tools, and systems that surface critical insights and enable faster, smarter decisions across the business. This is an individual contributor role with future leadership potential. What You’ll Be Doing
Build predictive models and decision-support tools driving our financial statements — revenue, gross profit, operating costs, and cash flow. Turn strategic analyses into scalable, self-serve tools for scenario planning, LTV modelling, cohort analysis, pricing, and capital allocation. Collaborate with Data, Product, and Engineering to define and maintain data models powering executive insights and operational decisioning. Automate recurring finance workflows such as investor reporting, covenant tracking, performance pacing, and financial close tasks. Create intelligent, automated reporting workflows for financial and operational metrics (e.g., trading updates, forecast variance analysis, board KPIs). Own the architecture for insight delivery — dashboards, semantic layers, and data pipelines for financial and strategic reporting. Act as the technical bridge within Strategic Finance to enable faster, smarter decisions through automation and scalable systems. Champion data governance and documentation to ensure consistency, trust, and clarity across reporting. What We’re Looking For
7+ years in data analytics, BI engineering, analytics engineering, or hybrid data/finance roles, ideally in a high-growth, product-led company. Experience developing and owning predictive modelling systems at a company level. Ability to communicate analytical insights with influence at senior forums; experience guiding executive decision-making. Hands-on experience with BI tools (Looker, Mode, Tableau) and data workflow tools (dbt, Airflow). Hands-on experience building data models and dashboards in BI tools (Looker, Mode, Tableau, Superset) and automation tools (Streamlit, Airflow, dbt). Strong grasp of financial and operational metrics, ideally with FP&A or Strategic Finance exposure. Builder mindset with a bias for automation, ownership, and delivering value fast. Interest in fintech and Cleo’s mission. Nice To Have
Experience automating or supporting investor-facing reporting or board materials. Experience in environments blending consumer tech and financial services (AI, lending, credit, payments). What Do You Get For Your Hard Work?
Competitive compensation package (base + equity) with bi-annual reviews aligned to quarterly OKR cycles. Opportunity to work at a fast-growing tech startup backed by top VC firms. A clear progression plan with support to grow, lead others, and own impact. Flexible work arrangements to support personal well-being and productivity. Global distribution with hybrid options in London; travel support for in-person collaboration where applicable. Other Benefits
Company-wide performance reviews every 6 months Generous pay increases for high performers Equity top-ups for promotions 25 days annual leave + public holidays (+ additional day per year up to 30) 6% employer-matched pension in the UK Private Medical Insurance, dental, and life assurance Enhanced parental leave 1 month paid sabbatical after 4 years Regular socials and activities, online and in-person OpenAI subscription coverage Online mental health support via Spill Workplace Nursery Scheme Welcoming Everyone
