We are hiring for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer whose main purpose is the mechanical design and detailing of high‑precision new parts, sub‑assemblies and customer solutions for our Imaging & Analysis products.
Key Qualifications and Experience
BSc/BEng qualification in Mechanical Engineering (or similar discipline) or equivalent qualification; iMechE, IEng Accredited
Mechanical Engineer with at least 5 years’ experience in product development
Demonstrable experience in:
Design of precise, tight tolerance mechanisms
Tolerance analysis
Design for long‑term stability (e.g. vibration, thermal effects)
Design for Regulatory Approval (EMC, MD, Safety, LVD)
DfX Implementation
Prototype build & assessment
Experience documenting designs with detailed assembly instructions, including revision control of drawings and documents.
Experience developing budgets and cost estimates
This permanent position is based onsite at our Belfast headquarters.
