Role Description We are seeking a motivated Intermediate/Senior Building Services Engineer to join our London‑based team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects, contributing to the design, development and implementation of mechanical and electrical building services systems.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the design and specification of mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems, including HVAC, lighting, power, water and sustainability solutions.
Prepare technical calculations, reports and drawings in collaboration with other engineers.
Support the development of sustainable and energy‑efficient solutions in line with industry standards and regulations.
Coordinate with architects, contractors and other stakeholders to integrate building services seamlessly into projects.
Use industry‑standard software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit MEP, IES, Dialux, Amtech) to produce designs and models.
Carry out site visits, surveys and inspections to support project delivery.
Stay up to date with UK building regulations, CIBSE guidelines and industry best practices.
Qualifications
Degree in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical, Environmental/Sustainability Engineering or equivalent.
5–10 years of experience in a building services consultancy or related field.
Familiarity with industry design software (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit, IES, Dialux, Amtech).
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Good communication and report‑writing skills.
Enthusiasm for sustainable and innovative engineering solutions.
Relevant certifications or licences are a plus.
Knowledge of Autocad 2D and IES Virtual Environment packages.
Experience working on RIBA Stage 2‑5 projects.
Understanding of UK planning and building control processes.
