Conduct stress analysis, fatigue evaluations, and design calculations, including non-linear FEA, to ensure the structural integrity of bridging products.
Write test specifications, acceptance criteria, and detailed reports to meet customer and legislative requirements.
Oversee both in-house and outsourced engineering activities, performing design reviews and ensuring compliance with manufacturing standards.
Liaise directly with customers to verify project scope and deliverables while managing project programmes, workload, and resources.
Investigate, evaluate, and resolve data from non-conforming products while driving problem‑solving initiatives and continuous improvement.
Comprehend specified design criteria and ensure all work aligns with applicable standards and specifications.
What You Will Bring:
A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and Chartered Status with a recognised institution.
Expertise in structural behaviour, material properties, and proficiency in FEA simulation tools like ANSYS.
Experience with Eurocodes, structural integrity assessments, and fatigue evaluations.
Familiarity with fabricated aluminium and steel production processes, as well as technical documentation such as drawings and specifications.
Strong skills in 3D modelling software, design validation through simulation and testing, and knowledge of strain gauging.
