The Role MOTH is looking for an experienced Field Sales Manager to lead, coach and develop the field sales function in our business. Using the Off‑Trade Commercial Strategy and the priorities outlined, this role will be responsible for setting and executing the field sales strategy to deliver our supercharged growth targets. The role will focus predominantly on Convenience/Impulse but will also play a crucial role in Grocery compliance during key campaigns and times of the year.
Key Responsibilities
Use the overall Off‑Trade Commercial Strategy to build a field team strategy that will enable us to achieve our supercharged growth targets.
Plan your and your team's weekly, monthly, and quarterly priorities based on key commercial KPIs – Revenue/NSV, Case Volume & Distribution – and cross‑departmental KPIs: Visibility, Activation & ROS.
Lead, coach and develop our field sales team to achieve both individual and team targets.
Ensure the team is high output and highly engaged, loving their day‑to‑day work.
Act as a voice for the field team in meetings with leadership, raising risks and opportunities with a solution‑led, growth mindset.
Work hand in hand with the Convenience Commercial team and Convenience Trade Marketing team to construct bespoke plans by account where appropriate; well‑informed ideas for store and depot presence are encouraged.
Monitor and analyse field sales performance metrics to provide regular reports to senior management.
Support promotional activity in both wholesale and retail to maximise performance.
Conduct field visits to support the team and strengthen key customer relationships – you’ll be both player and leader.
Own field execution across Impulse and Convenience, ensuring excellence in distribution, visibility and activation.
Requirements
3‑6 years of experience in field sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Strong leadership, coaching and performance management skills.
An open‑mindled, solution‑led mindset that respects others’ opinions.
Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation abilities.
Proven ability to drive growth and meet revenue objectives through a field team strategy.
Proficiency in CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
Ability to travel regularly to meet customers and support the team.
Full valid driver’s licence.
