Location: HMP Lindholme, Yorkshire and Humberside
Hours: 39 hours per week, 08:00 – 17:00. Rotational weekends (1 in 4) with 15% additional allowance and call‑out rota.
Job type: Permanent, Full‑time.
Salary: Competitive annual, potential for reviews.
What You Will Do
Provide maintenance and reactive tasks tailored to competency, with a focus on compliance.
Act as an Approved Person (AP) in one or more principles; training provided.
Follow Amey/MOJ/HMPPS security protocols, including tool management.
Assist guarding duties as required.
Any other duties commensurate with the role.
What You Will Bring
Full UK driving licence – Essential.
Relevant NVQ/qualifications in a maintenance discipline.
Independence, initiative and ability to work at height.
Good project management knowledge.
Experience in fire door, extinguisher, alarm core point, emergency lighting, RCD, water temperature testing.
IT skills and basic health and safety knowledge.
Knowledge of building and system compliance (training available).
Willingness to qualify for Amey Confined Spaces AP responsibilities.
Desirable: Experience in a custodial environment.
