Purpose of the role Affinia is seeking to recruit 2 highly organised Business Analysts to join the Integration Management Office, managing the integration of multiple businesses per year as part of our private equity growth journey. These newly created roles place the Business Analyst in a critical position, bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. The BA will translate company objectives into actionable requirements for Business Change and IT projects, and will travel to most office locations including Brighton, the South East, Essex and East Anglia.
This Critical Role Will Be Responsible For
Documenting end‑to‑end business processes across the organisation for different client and employee journeys.
Collaborating with key stakeholders at all levels of the business up to and including C‑Suite.
Mapping target acquisition business processes to the Affinia standard and identifying gaps and required changes post‑acquisition.
Identifying opportunities to drive business value through process optimisation, system functionality enhancement and continuous improvement initiatives.
Accountabilities Stakeholder Engagement
Build strong relationships with business SMEs, department heads and key stakeholders.
Facilitate workshops, meetings and interviews to elicit and capture requirements, identify challenges and explore improvement opportunities.
Communicate complex concepts and solutions clearly and concisely to appropriate audiences.
Act as a transformation partner for our multiple business areas, helping them understand the impact of change.
Business Analysis
Lead planning, execution, monitoring, controlling and closing of analysis components for high‑complexity projects and programmes.
Conduct research in the discovery phase, defining problems and crafting service‑design propositions.
Facilitate the creation of design artefacts (personas, as‑is and future‑state journeys, service blueprints, prototypes, etc.).
Document and analyse business requirements, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business goals.
Collaborate with technical teams to translate requirements into system design and functionality.
Define acceptance criteria, support testing and defect triage to validate solutions meet business needs.
Ensure all deliverables meet the highest quality standards and comply with organisational and industry best practices.
Review and walkthrough business requirements and functional specifications with stakeholders.
Analyse business processes, identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions to optimise performance.
Support workflow streamlining initiatives to improve overall operations.
Use data‑driven analysis to support decision‑making and provide actionable insights.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in business analysis and project management.
Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging innovation and implementing best practices.
Skills And Experience
Extensive experience in business process design, facilitation and proficiency with business analysis tools and methodologies.
Experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Strong analytical and evaluation skills, including data collection, interpretation and analysis.
Gather functional business requirements and translate to technical terms.
Identify, prioritise and deliver process efficiencies.
Design and facilitate Improvement Workshops.
Define and realise benefits.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Curiosity and tenacity to explore beyond immediate circumstances for further improvements.
Proactively work with stakeholders to identify continuous improvement areas.
Ability to manage and prioritise workload.
Experience within Accounting or other Professional Services businesses.
Desired Experience
Experience working within an M&A environment, integrating multiple businesses.
BCS Diploma or relevant certifications in Business Analysis.
Experience in a private equity‑backed environment.
Good understanding of Project and Change Management.
