Role Summary As the Principal Data Scientist you will act as a data science subject matter expert, leading multiple large projects and building data science products and solutions. You will utilise deep data science knowledge and expertise, leading projects and building data science products and solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead projects from a data science perspective, removing obstacles and taking ownership to find creative solutions.
Build data science products and solutions utilising data science techniques directly.
Create compelling proposals with technologists and business to drive innovation from conception to production with appropriate success metrics.
Utilise deep domain expertise in financial market content, data science and LSEG data and products.
Network with various stakeholders and communities, staying aware of leading-edge techniques, tools and technology.
Handle senior level stakeholder engagements internally and externally to discover problems and use cases, and to translate business impact of ongoing and completed projects.
Lead and inspire a team while actively contributing to projects.
Write and review highly optimized code for LSEG products and solutions and provide feedback and suggested improvements to team members.
What You’ll Bring
Significant experience in a data science related role.
Demonstrable experience on data migration using ETL tools.
Ability to translate business requirements into data solutions.
Expert level skill on Informatica IICS or Matillion or equivalent ETL tool covering source extraction to complex mappings.
Proficient level coding knowledge on Python and SQL.
Experience with providing technical solutions and supporting documentation.
Ability to communicate effectively in English with all levels of staff, both orally and written.
Preferred Skills and Experience
Snowflake Storage and Database.
Cloud Native based applications using AWS or Azure.
Understanding of the SDLC and agile delivery methodology.
