Are you a Senior Developer ready to step into a Tech Lead role/Development Manager where you can shape products that truly make a difference? We’re partnering with an industry leader at the forefront of digital innovation in health & social care.
With offices in Scotland and Newcastle (and just one or two in‑office days per month), this is a fully remote opportunity offering the chance to lead, innovate, and grow in a supportive, forward‑thinking environment.
What you’ll do
70/30 hands‑on vs. leadership split—coding, architecting, and mentoring.
Lead a small, talented team of developers in an agile, product‑focused environment (scrum).
Work across a modern full‑stack environment.
Influence architecture, design patterns, and tech decisions across the platform.
Partner with product managers to shape priorities and delivery outcomes.
Guide teams in designing, building, testing, and shipping new features.
Play a key role in hiring the next generation of engineering talent.
Foster a culture of learning, collaboration, and engineering excellence.
Remain technically hands‑on, especially while teams scale.
Qualifications
Strong full‑stack engineer with deep problem‑solving instincts.
Comfortable leading technical direction and coaching others.
Skilled at breaking down complexity into clear actions.
Emotionally intelligent and great at aligning teams.
Confident challenging assumptions and navigating ambiguity.
Motivated to build elegant, scalable, future‑ready solutions.
Passionate about learning, improvement, and collaboration.
Experience with large‑scale, complex systems is a major advantage.
Leadership behaviour is essential; titles are not required.
