Job Summary CDW’s Solution Sales organization collaborates with sales to deliver high‑value outcomes for customers across technology growth pillars including Hybrid Platforms, Modern Workspace, Security and Digital Enablement. The Senior Solution Architect focuses on technical and services engagements, supporting financial metrics, creating solutions, designing technical documentation, and leading business‑outcome engagements from start to finish.
Responsibilities
Act as an overlay resource driving successful financial metrics through technical and services engagements.
Own solutions, supporting the creation and execution of customer requirements based on desired business outcomes.
Produce documentation based on technical design that meets customer needs, targets and KPIs.
Translate customer business‑outcome requirements into high‑level technical design and sales outcomes.
Support bids, promote aligned solutions, contribute to proposal creation and customer presentations.
Provide customer‑facing technical expertise, build trust, and present to decision makers.
Advise customers on best technologies and vendors, including those outside the team.
Capture requirements through structured discovery, validate business needs, and document findings.
Assist in proposal creation, including technical design documents and costings.
Drive architecture‑driven pricing and sizing to meet commercial objectives.
Qualifications & Requirements
Demonstrable knowledge in hybrid cloud solutions from leading vendors such as Cisco, Dell Technologies, Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Lenovo.
Experience with Compute Solutions including CI, HCI and servers powered by VMware, Nutanix and Red Hat.
Knowledge of a structured sales process and competitive landscape.
Minimum of four years in technical consulting, solution architecture or pre‑sales engineering.
Ability to collaborate with sales, delivery teams and Business Development Managers.
Strong communication skills, persuading senior stakeholders and cross‑functional teams.
Organizational and time‑management skills to orchestrate cross‑team schedules.
Relevant certifications and active pursuit of ongoing learning.
