Job Summary:
We are hiring a diligent Shipping Clerk to join our team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role is central to our logistics operations, ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurately documented, packaged, and dispatched in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a strong understanding of shipping procedures. You will be responsible for preparing shipping labels, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining shipping records, all while upholding our commitment to safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
  • Accurately document and process outgoing shipments using the WMS and shipping software.
  • Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation.
  • Package items securely and appropriately for transit to prevent damage.
  • Coordinate with various shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS, LTL) to schedule pickups and deliveries.
  • Verify order accuracy against shipping documents before dispatch.
  • Maintain organized shipping areas and ensure efficient workflow.
  • Track shipments and provide updates to customers or internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Conduct quality checks on outgoing packages to ensure they meet standards.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
  • Assist with receiving duties as required.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a shipping or logistics role is preferred.
  • Proficiency in shipping software and WMS is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Commitment to following safety guidelines and wearing appropriate PPE.
