Accountable for designing low‑voltage electrical distribution systems and creating all necessary documentation across heavy industrial projects. The role supports projects across England and Scotland, with a focus on project cost effectiveness, safety, and innovation.
Responsibilities
Design LV electrical distribution systems.
Create specifications, datasheets, cable calculations and schedules.
Produce drawings in collaboration with the CAD team.
Review manufacturer documentation for compliance with project specifications.
Develop and maintain relationships with technical consultants and suppliers.
Qualifications
Proficiency with Trimble (Amtech) ProDesign.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to build relationships across design and project teams.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills suitable for all levels.
Knowledge of relevant UK codes of practice and regulatory material.
Experience in Petrochemical, Power Generation, Renewables or Nuclear environments.
Holding full UK work rights and eligibility for SC level Security Clearance.
Beneficial Experience
Design of HV electrical systems.
Use of AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux/Relux, SKM, ETAP, Digsilent and PSCAD.
Experience with ATEX systems.
