Driver/Warehouse Worker - No Weekends!

Don's Prepared Foods is the leading manufacturer on the East Coast of prepared gourmet deli salads, gourmet cream cheese spreads, dips, entrée’s and more.

Don's is a family-owned business and manufactures over 130 products spanning across its three brands Don's Salads, Melanie's Medleys and Artisan Deli. 

Our Transportation and Warehouse departments are seeking a Warehouse Worker to join the team at our Schwenksville, PA food manufacturing plant. 

This is an hourly, non-exempt position that typically starts at 6:30AM from Monday-Friday (no weekends!) with flexible end times according to production needs. Candidates who are dedicated, consistent, and organized with a warehouse background in a manufacturing environment are strongly encouraged to apply. Forklift experience required. 

Candidates who have previous experience driving a refrigerated truck with a valid DOT Medical Certificate to cross train as a backup driver as needed will be prioritized.

This position works in a refrigerated warehouse for the full 8 hour shift, temperature is about 34-36 degrees. 

Start time 6:30am Monday-Friday.  Must be flexible with start and end times due to production scheduling.  

             *Backup driver position hours vary between 1am-4am start time.

Warehouse Duties/ Responsibilities :

• Pack finished products into boxes as they come down the line.
• Stack products on pallets.
• Move product to inventory locations and rotate stock.
• Pick customer orders using ERP tablet. Properly identify expiration dates/serial dates of products to be picked.
• Assist with inventory cycle counts.
• Adhere to food safety standards are sanitation guidelines. Must have excellent attention to detail.   
• Use forklift.
• Keep a clean, organized workspace.

Backup Driver Duties/ Responsibilities :

Non-CDL driver, must hold a current Medical Certificate. Delivery routes include the Philadelphia area, NY City, Baltimore, MD area and local stops in Montgomery County. Must be able to use a pallet jack. Previous experience driving a refrigerated 25ft truck required.

Driver duties would be as needed to cover for scheduled vacations or call outs.

Requirements:

Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Must be able to use a forklift

*Must be able to work in a cold environment of about 35 degrees.

Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
