A pair of second time founders who have already built and exited successful ventures are assembling a new elite engineering team for their next AI startup!
They have secured top tier backing (8 figures!), built early traction with thousands of users and are now searching for exceptional Founding Backend Engineers to scale a deeply ambitious product at breakneck speed. This is a ground floor opportunity to own the backend systems that could redefine how people interact with AI every day!
The Role
Build core backend services, APIs and distributed systems in Python
Design architecture, data flows and infrastructure foundations from day zero
Work directly with the founders on product strategy and technical direction
Move fast in an iterative environment while maintaining high engineering quality
Shape backend engineering culture, tooling and processes for a rapidly scaling product
Python with FastAPI
Event driven backend services and data heavy workflows
Modern AI frameworks and agent driven systems integrated into backend pipelines
Engineers who love solving performance, scaling and reliability challenges
What You Need
5+ years experience in high growth early stage startups
BSc or MSc from a highly ranked university (Oxford Cambridge Imperial UCL, or similar)
A desire to work in a fast paced startup that pushes technical and product limits
