Paignton Office Junior Mechanical CAD Engineer We are looking for a Mechanical CAD Engineer to be responsible for developing mechanical systems and components, ensuring that they meet requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, creativity in design, and proficiency in SolidWorks design software.
Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical systems and components.
Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and manufacturing personnel to ensure designs are feasible and cost‑effective.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues.
Prepare technical reports and documentation.
Essential Skills & Experience
Level 5 / 6 preferred qualification in Mechanical Engineering
3 years of experience in mechanical design and engineering.
Proficiency in SolidWorks.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Desirable
Experience with FEA (Finite Element Analysis)
