Company Description Wise is a FinTech company that moves billions of GBP of customer money across 70+ countries, requiring precise reporting and insights into Treasury operations. Data is central to decision‑making and process optimisation.
Job Description We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our Treasury team in Shoreditch, London. You’ll be part of a team that fundamentally powers the Wise product and mission!
Responsibilities
Curate datasets, surface metrics, size opportunities and conduct deeper dive analysis to discover inefficiencies and optimise the team’s approach to money movement.
Build and maintain critical data pipelines.
Hunt down and diagnose unusual behaviour or anomalies with our trades and payments.
Liaise with FX, Liquidity and Operations teams to understand how to improve processes to achieve lower costs and risks.
Qualifications
Advanced SQL skills.
Experience building data pipelines.
Strong analytical ability.
3‑5 years experience in similar roles.
Data visualisation and storytelling ability.
Ability to self‑organise and manage stakeholders.
Demonstration of impact/going above and beyond basic role requirements.
Python/R for data manipulation and analysis.
Understanding of stats and statistical modelling (measures of central tendency, variance, testing, some regression modelling).
Desirable
DBT.
Data modelling in a warehouse context.
Experience working with financial or payments data.
Background Check To meet our regulatory obligations as a licensed financial services company, Wise needs to conduct background checks on all new hires, which in the Finance team includes Criminal and Credit checks. Please discuss with the recruiter if you have any concerns regarding this process.
What We Offer
Salary: £60,000 – £75,000.
