is hiring a Structural Detail Design Engineer to support complex engineering projects across our service portfolio. This role is based in
Glasgow, Scotland
and is a
Contract
assignment.
Responsibilities
Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings to meet industry standards.
Ensure all design deliverables are accurate and delivered on schedule.
Liaise with colleagues and stakeholders to coordinate design requirements.
Support the entire project cycle from concept through construction and installation.
Provide technical support during construction and installation phases.
Perform self-verification of work and report progress and issues to line management.
Maintain adherence to safety, health, and environmental (SHE) requirements.
Assist in improving quality standards of outputs and in change embodiment.
Qualifications
Hold an NC/HNC or equivalent qualification in a related discipline.
Relevant industry experience or apprenticeship in the same discipline.
Essential Skills
Familiarity with shipbuilding/ship repair terminology and practices.
Proficiency with parametric/spec-driven CAD systems in both 3D and 2D environments.
Experience with FORAN and Windchill.
Desired Skills
Preferable T26 experience.
Experience
Background in detail design processes, particularly stage 2 modelling and stage 3 outputs, on Naval or Commercial Marine projects.
Experience with naval shipbuilding, new build, major conversion packages, or similar.
Additional Requirements
BPSS clearance required.
