We’re looking for a talented Electronics and Embedded Engineer to join our team in London. You’ll play a key role in the design, development, and testing of next-generation spatial audio hardware systems. Working within a small, highly skilled R&D team, you’ll collaborate closely with software engineers, sound designers, and product specialists to bring innovative products from concept to production. Key responsibilities
Design, develop, and test embedded hardware and firmware for audio processing and control systems. Contribute to schematic capture, PCB design, and prototype assembly. Develop and maintain embedded C/C++ firmware for real-time DSP, network, and control applications. Work with cross-functional teams to integrate embedded systems with software and hardware platforms. Support the full product lifecycle from concept and prototyping through to production and field deployment. Conduct hardware bring-up, debugging, and performance optimization. Liaise with manufacturing partners to ensure design-for-manufacture (DFM) and design-for-test (DFT) requirements are met. Stay current with emerging technologies relevant to audio, embedded systems, and networking Skills and experience required
Degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. Strong experience in embedded systems design using C/C++. Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout (e.g. Altium, KiCad). Familiarity with ARM Cortex-M or similar microcontroller architectures. Embedded Linux experience. Understanding of digital and analog audio circuit design. Experience with communication protocols such as SPI, I²C, UART, Ethernet and USB. Proficient in debugging hardware and firmware using oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and other lab tools. Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a small, multidisciplinary team. Desirable skills
Experience with real-time audio DSP or audio networking (e.g. Dante, AVB, AES67). Knowledge of FPGA design (e.g. Verilog/VHDL). Understanding of manufacturing processes and design for production. 68000 Assembly language experience. Passion for audio, music technology, or live sound applications. Benefits
