role.
Overview An Engineer / Design Coordinator in the Builders Work in Connection (BWIC) team at HS2 Old Oak Common Station will work on the design and build of MEPHFC works for Anthro Joint Venture. The role is based in London, attending site meetings at Old Oak Common where required, and working 3 days a week.
Responsibilities
Coordinate the production, checking and design coordination of BWIC works.
Design Management of a coordinated BIM federated model.
Produce evidence of clash detection resolution and RFI acceptance with respect to BWIC.
Coordinate and agree building services opening positions with our CREs/Lead Engineers and third parties.
Agree BWIC with respect to fire stopping solution, led by our Fire Engineer.
Structural review of design and third‑party proprietary systems, including reinforced concrete, precast concrete, steelwork, blockwork and DfMA/bracketry.
Lead and support ad‑hoc site support queries and ensure design changes are captured and tracked.
Support senior staff at meetings with the client and principal designer to escalate issues and record actions via RFI.
Qualifications – Essential
Degree (BEng/MEng) in civil or structural engineering.
Experience working in an engineering production environment.
Experience in the railway industry.
Knowledge of UK design standards (Network Rail, HS2, TfL).
Knowledge of BIM standards and design integration procedures.
CITB CSCS scheme.
Ability to communicate effectively and deliver on programme.
Right to work in the UK.
Qualifications – Desirable
Professional Engineer registration with the Engineering Council (UK).
Leadership and mentoring experience.
Appreciation of environmental issues, low‑carbon design.
IT competence in remote working and facilitation of digital workshops.
Knowledge of quality assurance.
PTS AC/DC.
