About the Role & Team Join our innovative and fast-paced Border’s Infrastructure / Platform team as an Infrastructure Engineer. You’ll help shape the underlying infrastructure of our industry‑leading products, working with DevOps tools, technology, and principles in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
What You’ll Do
Utilize a diverse set of tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and Ansible to automate the software development lifecycle.
Own end‑to‑end deployment of a product and ensure the product is operationally ready.
Review requirements from various product lines to help product owners define and prioritize new features needed for infrastructure and deployment.
Participate in Scrum meetings to plan, prioritize, and estimate work.
Work with Delivery leads, Developers, and Testers to troubleshoot specific issues, including recreating pipelines or deployment code and validating environment configuration.
Install, configure, and manage both cloud‑based and on‑premises applications.
Contribute to the definition and implementation of DevOps pipelines.
Participate in reviews of everything from low‑level code to sprint performance or definition of new features.
Document new features using agreed standards to encourage adoption with platform consumers.
Collaborate with colleagues in your scrum team and with other teams on company‑wide initiatives and innovation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years’ experience working in a DevOps role.
Previous experience troubleshooting Java applications.
RHEL Linux or equivalent.
Knowledge of Ansible and Kubernetes.
Understanding of Microsoft Azure stack.
Experience in dev/test/prod environment support and automation.
Experience in Linux administration.
Nice‑to‑Have
Familiarity with MongoDB and Elasticsearch for effective data management.
Kubernetes Certified.
Azure Certified.
Understanding of Kafka and LDAP.
Knowledge of Terraform.
Concept of Agile, HA, resiliency, scalability.
ITIL, operational requirements and support.
